It was an introductory drafting class in junior high school that got Andy hooked on architecture—even if he didn’t realize it at the time. He was mesmerized by precision drawing and diagramming, using his drafting board to make 2-D replicas of everyday objects. Before he knew it, he was drawing buildings and entire city landscapes. Architecture, it seemed, had revealed itself as his professional calling.
Having grown up in a small town in Wyoming, Andy’s college years were transformational. He gravitated toward international students and found their ideas fascinating. This experience taught him to see the world through a much wider lens, expanding his creative palette and his understanding of cultural design nuances. And it continues to serve him well today as the leader of our Denver studio.
When Andy isn’t helping clients bring their dreams to life through design, he enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with his dog, Solo.
