Soon after Matt was born in American Samoa, his family returned home to the Midwest. Throughout his childhood, Matt could be found drawing, doodling, and looking over plans, as his parents were often remodeling their home. Watching the process of design unfold before his eyes, Matt’s interest in architecture grew as he went to college to study interior design. When Matt wasn’t delving into the fine arts, he could be found playing soccer or enjoying a Red Wings hockey game.
With an ongoing passion for mentorship and team work, Matt puts into practice skills taught to him by his mentors. He enjoys teaching younger staff and focusing on lessons learned at the end of a project. For Matt, the success of the project is found the first time the client walks onto the job site and sees firsthand the design transformation from concept to construction. The feedback from the client at this stage, is the true indicator for the success of the design. Through the years, he has established a strong track record for moving projects from conceptualization to completion swiftly and effectively. Matt began his career in Dallas and now lives in Austin with his wife, two kids, and Boston terrier.
