Jessica Figenholtz

Associate Principal, Higher Education, Chicago

With her love for travel, creativity and the sciences, Jessica found her calling in high school during a class trip to Spain. She then signed up for the only architectural drafting class available, and, with her teacher’s guidance, Jessica explored opportunities in architecture while experiencing firsthand the immense value of mentorship.

A respected leader in the higher education field, Jessica enhances learning experiences and outcomes across the rapidly evolving learning landscape. Her curiosity drives her to critically think through each project’s unique approach.

Known for her agility in operating within multiple practice areas, Jessica is regarded for her thorough understanding of the client and project context. Involved in planning, redevelopment and sustainability, she believes design must deliver impact, create value and transform lives.

Jessica’s core values of giving back extend to being a steward of the environment; she has worked with scientists in Belize to measure how global warming is deteriorating the coral reef system, and incorporates sustainability into all of her work.
